We’re celebrating here at Harrisons because we’ve been recognised in the 2022 Legal 500 Guide once again. It’s the ‘world’s leading legal directory’ and ranks the UK’s top lawyers and organisations.

Unlike some awards, it is not possible for a law firm to ‘buy its way in’. The only way a firm can get into these ranking tables is on merit. Rankings are based on feedback from 300,000 in-house peers and access to law firm deals and confidential matters, which are independently assessed by their researchers. Happily, they have decided that we qualify, and two of our teams have been listed in the 2022 Guide.

About our employment team 

Led out of the firm’s Welshpool office by Charlotte Powell-Jones and aided by ‘knowledgeable and pragmatic’ managing partner Anne Smith, the ‘friendly and efficient’ team at Harrisons Solicitors LLP handles a varied mix of work for companies and employees based in mid-Wales, including in relation to the negotiation of settlement agreements, restrictive covenants and general HR advisory work.

Employment tribunal work remains a driver of the practice on both the respondent and claimant side, while the firm has also been particularly active of late providing guidance to employers on Covid-related issues (including furlough payments), much of which is provided through the firm’s popular retainer service.

Led from the firm’s Welshpool office by the ‘confident and clear thinking’ Paul Ingram, Harrisons Solicitors LLP has a strong and well-established reputation through mid-Wales and is regularly the first port-of-call for local SMEs and business owners requiring advice on transactional work, as well as on ongoing commercial matters. The scope of the work handled by the firm is broad, running the gamut from guidance on the optimal structure for a newly established business, through to advice on the the sale of a business or raising external finance.
