Rather than printing and posting documents, we do all our communicating via email (according to client preference). This often helps to speed up transactions too. We’ve also stepped up our roll-out of new technologies such as Docusign and online verification of identity. This approach was already underway, but coincidentally has been helped by the pandemic forcing everyone to work in new ways. 

Comparing 2020 with 2019, we reduced the number of pages we print by 298,025 – that’s the equivalent of producing 3,158 kg less CO2 or a saving of 30 trees.

We aren’t stopping there. We are members of the Legal Sustainability Alliance who are a collaborative group sharing best practice to achieve carbon neutral.
